This season it’s all about jackets, and our autumn/winter Original & Vintage collection is built on a mashup of classic collegiate varsity styles merged seamlessly with our hand-drawn vintage-inspired graphics and fabrications.
Throughout the campaign, you’ll see our ongoing commitment to sustainable style. We have the biggest recycled fill outerwear collection on the planet, enabling consumers to shop for the season responsibly whilst not having to compromise on style.
For Bea, style is all about layering and pairing contrasting prints and textures to create an aesthetic that harps back to the original activist punks. Because of this, there was no better fit for our new season collection.
Who is Beabadoobee?
Filipino-British singer-songwriter, real name Bea Kristi, and professionally known as Beabadoobee to her 1.2m Instagram followers, is just as passionate as us about the future of fashion. Championed by industry leaders, she was nominated for both the BRITS’ Rising Star and BBC Sound of 2020 Awards.
Speaking about her style, she simply says “Honestly, I dress for comfort. I wear whatever I feel most comfortable in and whatever makes me feel more confident. Confidence is key”.
Bea personifies ‘self-expression’ through her incredible songwriting, music, fashion and make-up. Throughout the coronavirus lockdowns, Beabadoobee was busy releasing her sound to the masses. Her song Cologne was exclusively featured as the soundtrack for our campaign film, with the viral hits Coffee and Animal Noises fast becoming the soundtrack of the pandemic for Gen Z listeners.
The collection
Our collection fits seamlessly with Bea’s natural style; raw, authentic with a 90s rock and roll twist. There were a few pieces Bea was obsessed with that showcase her natural ability for breaking the status quo and mashing textures, prints and aesthetics to result in a truly unique style.
The Everest Bomber
There’s nothing more classic than a bomber. Our Everest Bomber features a detachable hood with a faux fur trim, a three pocket design and our signature Superdry branding. The padding in this jacket is made from 100% recycled polyester, each of these jackets contain up to 10 recycled bottles, which diverts them from being sent to landfill or polluting our oceans.
The College Varsity Bomber
Taking inspiration from vintage varsity style, this jacket is an absolute classic. The College Varsity Bomber Jacket draws on this heritage and features all of the iconic design cues you would expect from such a piece. True Americana style.
The Source Retro Puffer
For a retro vibe, the Source Retro Puffer Jacket offers both bold style and great comfort. The padding in this jacket is made from 100% recycled polyester – each of these jackets contain up to 30 recycled bottles, which diverts them from being sent to landfill or polluting our oceans.
